Dr. Milspaw provides training programs for health care providers and mental health practitioners working with patients navigating pelvic and sexual pain disorders.  The complete training program includes review of the following topics:

  • Neurobiology of pain, trauma, and stress
  • Biomechanics of pelvic and sexual pain disorders
  • Healing “Painful” Brain Habits
  • Therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

Training includes a detailed syllabus of information reviewed, copies of the powerpoint presentations, list of resources and references, written instructions on all therapeutic interventions, worksheets, and treatment plans, and free mp3s of Dr. Milspaw’s recommended mindfulness-based meditations and hypnotherapy tapes.
