Jessica earned her Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health at Kutztown University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Chester University in 2015 where she was awarded the Psychology Department’s Academic Achievement Award and graduated summa cum laude. Jessica has a great interest in working with children and adolescents, and has been a therapeutic staff support for non neuro-typical children since early 2016. Some of Jessica’s other interests include self-acceptance, anxiety and depression, and mindfulness. Her practicum site specializes in working with children and adolescents experiencing behavioral health concerns in an outpatient setting through individual and group counseling. She has been trained in Functional Behavior Assessment as well as De-escalation and Crisis Management. Jessica believes that the counseling process encompasses encouraging growth in positivity, love, and fulfillment through the power of gentle guidance, empowerment, and empathic understanding. It is the collective workings of the mind, body, and spirit of the individual that institutes change within themselves.
